As a young boy my interest was in outer space. Passion and determination
resulted in my current profession as an
astronomer.
Photography became a serious passion after witnessing a total solar eclipse
in 1999. This wonder of nature changed my perspective of life completely. I
wanted to capture this and other natural wonders in all their glory.
Now nature photography is a significant part of my life. I try to spend as much
time in the field as possible. As an astronomer I'm in the happy situation to
travel to beautiful places on this world for conferences. During this
traveling I try to image the most beautiful places and its wildlife. That's
where the name for this website came from.
Next to the 'standard' nature photography, I am active in astrophotography.
Nature isn't limited by the atmosphere. The universe is wide and diverse.
I try to capture a piece of this diversity and endless beauty.
Since 2004 I've started to professionalise my photography. My images are
